About Opalescence® bleaching

It is a professional dental bleaching system which has been a market leader for 25 years and which provides fast, safe and effective solution to have a brilliant smile!

It comes in 2 versions: surgery and home system.

Surgery version is ready in 1 hour, but with the home versions you can achieve spectacular results in a few nights as well! If you take care of your teeth properly, bleaching can last up to 1-2 years.

With the help of the home system, repeat the treatment later, even for free as the added flavoured gel may be enough for more occasions.

How does the treatment work?

We make a micro-millimeter accurate impression of your teeth and we send it to Coradent’s laboratory.
With the help of the impression, your bleaching tray is being made in 1-2 days, for which you have to come back to the surgery.
Along with the tray, you get the Opalescence PF® bleaching gel which completely corresponds to international standards and after we explain using methods in great details.
You only have to observe the treatment and enjoy your new shining smile!

Opalescence BOOST® surgery bleaching

We make the treatment in our surgery and it takes approximately 60 minutes (4×15 minutes).

Opalescence tooth bleaching gel PF (with potassium nitrate, fluoride and 40% hydrogen peroxide.)
The gel acts in 20 minutes. To have the perfect results it generally needs 4×15 minutes.
The gel gets into chemical reaction with oxygen, thus the gum stays hydrated and will not be sensitive (there is no need of hot and irritating LED lamps).
Your gum will be covered in a special protective layer so the bleaching gel will only have effect on the teeth.

Frequently asked questions about dental bleaching

Can tooth crowns and fillings be bleached?

Unfortunately no. This is important because after treatment old fillings must be replaced to new ones which correspond to the colour of the teeth. Only this way can we reach perfect the perfect final results. Before the treatment we will inform you if it will be necessary. Only visible fillings must be replaced!

Is dental bleaching painful?

The treatment is completely painless. It can happen that after the treatment you will be a little sensitive for cold and warm. However, it passes quickly.

Can “really” yellow teeth be bleached as well?

The bleaching colour scale has 16 shades. According to our experiences, the treatment can improve tooth colour with 6-7 shades. You can be sure that we will achieve spectacular results!

Do I have to do anything before bleaching?

Yes. Dental bleaching can be done only on clean and healthy teeth. For this reason, dental hygienic treatment must take place to remove calculus and to polish your teeth. With this procedure we prepare your teeth to achieve the best results!

Do I have to do anything after bleaching?

Yes. To preserve results it is important to observe the followings:

Do not smoke.
Do not drink coffee, coca cola or any other drink which contains colouring.
Avoid food that contains colouring (ketchup, mustard, soy sauce etc.).
Use dental floss on a daily basis.
Use bleaching toothpaste.
Go for dental hygienic treatments in every half year or year.
